Privacy Policy
About this Policy
Condor Security (“Condor,” “we,” “us” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information when you visit condorsecurity.ca, including www.condorsecurity.ca, or practice.condorsecurity.ca, contact us, request a quote, subscribe to our publications or apply for a job through our online recruitment channels.
Personal information means information about an identifiable individual. This policy covers our website activities and related communications. Security operations at client properties, employee records, background-check services and other specialized services may involve additional notices, authorizations or contractual arrangements. This policy does not replace those documents.
Information you provide
We collect information you choose to provide through our forms, email, telephone and other communications. Depending on your interaction, this includes:
- Inquiries and quotes: your name, email address, telephone number, city, the service you are interested in, and the comments or other details you provide.
- Subscriptions: your name, email address, subscription preferences and consent records for Condor Ascent, job alerts or other communications you request.
- Job applications: your selected positions, name, address, email address, telephone number, confirmation that you are at least 18, shift availability, preferred employment type, relevant experience, skills, licences and certifications, earliest start date, ability to provide references, resume, referral source and application acknowledgements.
We may collect further job-related information during recruitment, including information from references or verification providers where authorized and appropriate. Any sensitive screening will be explained through the relevant recruitment notice and authorization. Please provide only information needed for your request. Do not send government identifiers, financial details or confidential security information through general inquiry forms.
Information collected when you browse
Our websites and the providers supporting them may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, requested pages, referring links, approximate location derived from your IP address, dates and times of visits, and error or security events. Cookies and similar technologies may also collect information about site use, as described below.
Cookies and website technologies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We may also use browser storage, embedded services and similar technologies. These technologies support website functions, security, preferences and measurement. The technologies that operate depend on the website, enabled features and applicable consent choices.
Functional and security technologies help deliver pages, remember preferences, prevent abuse and protect forms. Hosting, Cloudflare and Wordfence services may process technical request information for website delivery and security. Spam filtering and verification services, including Akismet or Google reCAPTCHA where enabled, may process technical information and relevant submission data to identify unwanted or automated activity.
Google Analytics, where enabled through Site Kit or other integrations, helps us understand visits, navigation and form interactions. Information may include visited pages, referral sources, device information, approximate location and event data such as a form submission event. This is separate from the content you deliberately submit in a form.
Microsoft Clarity, where enabled, helps us understand how visitors interact with pages through interaction metrics, heatmaps and session replays. These can show clicks, scrolling, navigation and other interactions, together with technical and cookie identifiers. We use this information to identify confusing page elements and improve website usability. Microsoft also processes data under its own privacy statement: https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.
Embedded videos, social sharing features such as AddToAny, and other external content may allow the relevant provider to receive technical information when the feature loads or you interact with it. External platforms handle information under their own privacy policies.
You can use your browser settings to block or clear cookies and site data. Blocking necessary technologies may affect forms and other functions. Where we offer website privacy controls, you can use them to manage optional technologies. We obtain consent where required for optional tracking; merely publishing this policy does not replace that consent. Browser cookie settings may not block every type of tracking or embedded request.
Privacy on practice.condorsecurity.ca
practice.condorsecurity.ca provides a free, unofficial Ontario security guard practice test. No registration is required. The test offers Test and Study modes, saves progress automatically on the device you use, and lets you reset progress.
Saved progress may include your selected mode, answers, question order and position, and information needed to resume or show results. Because progress is saved on your device, another person using the same browser profile may be able to see it. Use Reset progress or clear this website’s browser data to remove saved progress. Clearing browser data does not erase any separate server or analytics records.
Local progress storage is distinct from technical logs and any analytics operating on the practice site. Visiting that site can still generate technical information needed to deliver and secure it. Taking the practice test does not submit a job application; applications are made separately through our recruitment channels. Links to careers, downloadable resources and government websites may take you to services with different privacy practices.
How we use personal information
We use personal information to respond to inquiries, prepare quotes and consultations, communicate about requested services, deliver subscriptions, process and assess job applications, arrange recruitment communications, provide website and practice-test features, investigate technical problems, prevent spam and misuse, and meet applicable legal obligations.
Marketing subscriptions are separate from submitting an inquiry or applying for a job. We send promotional messages with consent or another basis permitted by applicable law. You can unsubscribe using the link in a promotional email or contact us using the details below. We may retain a limited suppression record to respect your choice. Unsubscribing does not prevent communications needed to handle an active request or application.
How information is shared
Authorized Condor personnel and service providers may access information needed for the purposes described in this policy. Providers may support hosting, content delivery, security, form processing, email delivery, recruitment, customer communications, analytics, backups and technical maintenance.
Our website uses WordPress form and recruitment tools. Form submissions may be stored in website records and sent to authorized recipients by email. Email delivery logs and backups may retain copies of related information. ActiveCampaign may support subscription and contact management. Where configured, Zapier and webhook integrations may transfer form information to connected systems used to handle your request or subscription.
Some recruitment links open a Monday.com WorkForm. When you submit an application there, Monday.com processes the information and attachments you provide for Condor’s recruitment workflow. Its platform also has its own privacy notice. Other application routes may use different providers, identified at the point of collection.
We seek to limit provider access to what is needed for their services and use appropriate contractual and security arrangements. Analytics, embedded content and external platforms may also process information under their own terms and privacy notices. We may disclose information with your consent, where required or permitted by law, or as necessary to protect legal rights and investigate unlawful activity.
Processing outside Canada
Our providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States and other countries. Information processed abroad may be subject to the laws of that country and accessible to its courts, law enforcement or other authorities. You can contact us for further information about the providers handling your information.
Retention and protection
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected and for applicable legal, recordkeeping or dispute-resolution requirements. Retention depends on the type of record, including inquiries, applications, subscription records, technical logs, email logs and backups. When no longer required, information is deleted, anonymized or otherwise disposed of appropriately; backup copies may remain until the relevant backup cycle expires.
We use safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of personal information, including controls on access and measures to protect our websites and systems. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. If a privacy breach occurs, we take steps to assess and contain it and provide notices where required by applicable law.
Your choices and privacy requests
We seek your consent to collect, use and disclose personal information where required by applicable law. The form of consent depends on the information and the purpose. You can decline optional subscriptions, manage browser storage, and withdraw consent by contacting us, subject to legal or contractual restrictions. We will explain if withdrawing consent limits our ability to process your request or provide a requested service.
You can ask about the personal information we hold about you, how it is used or disclosed, request access, and request corrections. You may also ask us to delete information that is no longer needed or raise a privacy concern. We handle requests in accordance with applicable law; access and deletion may be subject to lawful exceptions and retention requirements. We may request information reasonably needed to confirm your identity before responding.
If you remain dissatisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or another privacy regulator with jurisdiction. More information is available at https://www.priv.gc.ca.
Children and young visitors
Our recruitment channels are intended for adult applicants. The practice resource can be viewed without providing a name or contact details. We do not intentionally seek personal information from children under 13 through our general website forms. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can assess and address it.
External websites and additional notices
Links to social media, government resources, recruitment platforms and other third-party websites lead to services we do not control. Review their privacy notices before providing information. Additional notices may apply to particular forms, employee portals, training registrations or specialized services. Those notices should be read together with this policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our websites, services or privacy practices. We will update the effective date when changes are published and provide additional notice or obtain new consent where required.
