Condor Security is proud to recognize Deepinder Bhatt as our Employee of the Month for August 2025. From the moment he joined the team, Deepinder has demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and a genuine commitment to customer service.

As a concierge at Met Condos, he has become a trusted presence for residents and visitors alike, consistently going above and beyond to ensure safety, comfort, and peace of mind.

Over time, he has worked at different sites, each with its own unique challenges, consistently proving himself capable of delivering at a high level. This track record of reliability and trust in his abilities recently earned him the responsibility of leading the newly formed team at 55 Broadway, where he now sets a positive example for new Condor employees and helps them integrate into our standard of excellence.

A Determined Job Hunt

When Deepinder first began his job hunt, his focus was simple: to find stability as a newcomer in an unfamiliar country. “During the job hunt, as a new immigrant, my focus was to settle,” he shared. “I knew a stable job would help me understand the culture and people here.”

After researching opportunities that matched his skills, he discovered the role of front desk security and concierge at high-rise condominiums. Networking and persistence eventually led him to Condor Security, where he decided to walk in and introduce himself in person; believing that first impressions are crucial in this line of work. His professional approach paid off, and he soon began his training with Condor Security’s experienced instructors and mentors.

From day one, Condor made a strong impression. “Everything felt professional and structured. The onboarding and training process emphasized discipline, customer service, and situational awareness. It showed me that security isn’t just about standing guard, it’s about being proactive, alert, and service oriented.”

Training that Builds Confidence

Since then, Deepinder has completed multiple training programs, including Level 1 Basic Security Training, Verbal Judo, Customer Service, Tactical Awareness, Fire Protection and Procedures, and Level 2 Intermediate Training. “The training gave me a strong foundation to handle real-life scenarios,” he explained. “The fire panel training and emergency drills were especially useful, because in those moments there’s no room for mistakes.”

What Deepinder enjoys most about his role is the interaction with people. “As a concierge, I’m the first point of contact for residents and visitors, which helps me build communication and customer service skills,” he said. His empathy, shaped by his own journey as a newcomer, allows him to connect with residents, especially those who may feel just as unfamiliar in their environment as he once did.

Overcoming challenges

Dealing with difficult or aggressive individuals, particularly in high-end residential buildings, requires patience, professionalism, and diplomacy. Yet Deepinder views every challenge as an opportunity to grow. “Staying calm and professional in those moments is tough, but essential,” he said.

Lessons that Last

When asked which training program impacted him the most, Deepinder highlighted Customer Service Excellence. “That training changed my perspective. I realized our role is not just to protect, but also to assist and represent the client’s brand. Being approachable, observant, and professional is key.”

For those just starting out in security, Deepinder’s advice is simple: “Take the training seriously, even if it seems basic. Ask questions, seek feedback, and build good relationships with your team and supervisors. Stay alert, stay humble, and always take pride in your uniform. This job can open more doors than you think if you approach it with the right mindset.”
